I like side projects. Here are some that I have started or been involved in.

Northern Imagination Forum

This is a conference series that I started in 2019, aiming to bring together researchers that work on imagination and related areas. I now run this together with Jacopo Frascaroli and Deb Marber. The conferences are normally hosted by universities in the North of the UK, but have presently moved online due to the pandemic.

Emotional Bonds

Emotional Bonds was a lecture and seminar series which I ran together with my supervisor Luca Barlassina in 2018. It featured researchers in philosophy, psychology, and anthropology who all worked on understanding affect.

Project Mobius: Edify

During May/June 2019, I was an intern with Neil McDonnell at Project Mobius at the University of Glasgow. The project uses immersive VR technology to develop applications that can be used for university teaching.

Diversity Reading List

I have been an Assistant Project Manager for the Diversity Reading List since 2016. The project collects high quality text by authors in philosophy from under-represented groups, with the aim to make it easier for teachers to find these to include in their teaching.

iCog

iCog is a network for postgraduate and early-career researchers working in cognitive science, and it seeks to facilitate collaboration across constituent disciplines and to raise the profile of cognitive science. I took over as webmaster in 2020.
